Tales From the Sea... New Advertising Illustration Work For McDonalds Filet-O-Fish

Had the opportunity to work up some illustrations with Hoffman | Lewis for their McDonalds filet-o-fish "Tales From the Sea" campaign a few weeks ago. This one was a little tricky since there was only one week to work up sketches, get approval, and complete final artwork before poppin' these up in the air. Everyone over at Hoffman | Lewis was great though, and really helped streamline the process. These are only being used for a St. Louis, MO metro campaign though (not national unfortunately). So if you're in the STL keep eye out and see if you can spot all five!

These are really great Jesse! Too bad they are not National! I used to work on Happy Meal boxes for the Spanish market back in the 90's so have a special fondness for Micky D's art.

Hey, thanks everybody! These were a lot of fun to work on. I'm heading back to Missouri to do a workshop at a college in a couple weeks. Looking forward to seeing them up!

Best,

These are fantastic! Really great work, and in such a short time.
(how did you find working for McDonalds?-albeit through another agency? I'd be interested, as I have recently done some illustration for Kleenex, and it would be intersting to hear how other illustrators get on with managing jobs from the big corporations)

Thanks for the nice comment PinkPig :) The whole process was pretty simple actually - way more than most other projects. I was pretty surprised with how smoothly the whole thing went. It was a regional campaign though so I don't think there was as much red tape and committees to navigate through had it been a national/global campaign.
