Next Stop: London - Renegade Craft Fair

Yup, it's true. RTD is finally leaving the U.S. of A. (just temporarily though). Renegade Craft Fair has gone global and RTD is joining them. If you're in London stop by for a look at some wonderful artists. There are a bunch of great names on this years roster. If you're not in London (I'm sorry), but want to share any advice on it, please do! (especially getting artwork through customs). Details below...

The Renegade Craft Fair is headed across the pond to The Old Truman Brewery for our 1st Ever London Fair on October 8+9, 2011, from 11am – 6pm each day! Along with hundreds of today’s best makers of handmade goods, we’ll be hosting hands-on crafting workshops and planning a handful of fun surprises! This exciting indoor showcase of indie-craft is free-to-attend!

At the Renegade Craft Fair you can expect to find only the best indie-craft and DIY artisans! Featuring both local and international talent, shoppers can anticipate a vast array of independently designed jewelry, clothing, paper goods, home + garden goods, posters, artwork, plush objects, bath + body products, and so much more!!

Atlantic Antic in Brooklyn 10/02/11

THE 37TH ANNUAL ATLANTIC ANTIC is an event not to be missed! On this beautiful autumn day in Brooklyn, the Atlantic Antic will bring together one million people to Atlantic Avenue to celebrate the longstanding tradition of food, festivities, and fun!

The Atlantic Antic is a Brooklyn institution, embracing the myriad of heritages that coexist in the Borough. Spanning four Brooklyn neighborhoods from Hicks Street to Fourth Avenue, the Antic is the largest street festival in New York City! From start to finish, Atlantic Avenue is transformed into a sea of entertainment offering something for everyone.

Comprised of local and national vendors intertwined with trendy restaurants and boutiques, the Atlantic Antic features live music stages that showcase free performances from various cultural genres. Families enjoy pony rides, storytelling, and face painting on an entire block dedicated solely to kid-friendly activities. Best known for its eclectic delicacies, the Antic highlights an array of food from around the world including street fair favorites like funnel cake, sausage sandwiches, and roasted corn!

New Editorial Illustration For Baltimore Magazine



Here’s a recent editorial illustration created for an article on home delivery and the midwives that assist the process in this months issue of Baltimore Magazine. The idea was to convey a newborn image within a home environment and not the typical sterile hospital scene. You can check out the full article here.

I do continue to be randomly surprised by the twists and turns that projects take me through on this never-ending rabbit hole of a profession. One day I’m dabbling in technology, another I’m drawing creatures for fast food chains, and then I’m off to doing research on home birthing... never can predict what’s gonna pop up over at the good ol’ inbox next.
