A nightmare that has the potential to manifest when the "general public" sleeps in and realizes once it's too late that they have all forgotten to vote. That cute little head fits perfectly in "the new democrazy's" mouth...

Inspired by one of my favorite nightmares as a kid...here's to you Wes Craven!

Ahhh, the carbon footprint...this sloth obviously "forgot" to stop and smell the flowers. Better be careful, a couple of these little fellas look like they could uproot and come after ya.

Would love to see this end up on the cover of an album...any musicians/takers?

This weeks Illustration Friday topic was Forgotten and this is a little excerpt from the story I made up for it...

He ran to the shore's edge and plopped himself down. Completely caught up in the excitement of the moment, he never realized that he had forgotten to bait the hooks. As he sat and dangled his feet off the edge of the world waiting for a bite, he pondered weather or not he really could make a fish fly. He stared at the fish, and they all stared right back, almost as confused as he. The worms on the other hand had no intention of waiting around for him to come to his senses. They lurched over the side of the rusty coffee can one by one and made a slithering run for less hostile grounds.

Sort of makes me want to go rig up a kite with a hook and try this out now...

We all know that ginger bread can take the heat. When summer rolls around they like to shake it out just as much as everyone else does. It's a summer of gingerbread love...

This weeks Illustration Friday topic was "Wide". I actually started this one last week for the Monday Artday topic "Giant Monster", but just finally got around to finishing it. It's a giant(wide) technicolor nice monster that has come to the city to help save all these simple little lemming like folks from a burning building.

Monday Artday: Sleep - Density Dan: Quirkles Science Experiments For Kids

This illustration is for the Monday Artday "Sleep" theme. It's a spread from the "Density Dan" book that is a part of The Quirkles series. In this spread Density Dan, Danny Duck, and Dipsy Dog all doze on their dotted blanket after a picnic.

The Quirkles books are an educational series that offer a fresh new way to integrate literacy and science at school or at home. Each book is full of vocabulary builders, character education lessons, and two related science experiments that allow for hands on activities, helping to reinforce the topics that were just read.
